How the test is scored
WPM
Words per minute counts every five characters as one word, the usual standard. Only words you typed right count, with the spaces between them, so a fast run full of mistakes won’t score high.
Raw WPM
Everything you typed, right or wrong, at the same five characters a word. A big gap between raw and WPM means mistakes are costing you speed.
Accuracy
The share of keys you pressed right the first time. Fixing a mistake with backspace still counts the mistake, so slowing down a little often raises your score.
Practice
Each test notes which letters you miss. Practice builds drills from words full of those letters, so you work on what holds you back.
